[ July 12, 2008; 11:00 am to 5:30 pm. ] The Royal Hotel’s refurbished Assembly Hall, built in the late 19th century but only recently rescued from its latterday use as a storage room, will host an attractive programme of entertainment during the day on Saturday July 12.

First on will be the Royal Scottish Country Dance Society (11am-11.30am), followed by some contemporary styles from Studio School Of [...]

[ July 12, 2008; 4:30 pm to 5:30 pm. ] Fresh from a successful tour of Salzburg in Austria, the Plantsbrook Swing Band will round off a day of entertainment in the Royal Hotel’s Assembly Hall on Saturday July 12 with an hour of lively arrangements of songbook classics.

[ July 11, 2008; 8:00 pm; ] Claret are an experienced Sutton trio who play an array of instruments with a large repertoire of folk and roots music from the British Isles with hints of jazz, and have an extra string to their bow - performing for ceilidhs and barn dances.
