Treading The Boards…
How do I start… what do I do… and how much fun can it be???
Ever wanted to go on stage but didn’t know where to start?
Ever been on stage and wanted re-assurance that what you’re doing is good?
Ever wanted to just have fun?
If the answer to any of these is ‘YES’, then this is the workshop for you!!!!
This fun and active introduction to the world of amateur theatre is designed to let you explore the basics of theatre performance without an audience.
This one-off special workshop for the Sutton Arts Festival is led by three experienced performers, directors and workshop leaders (nutters, in short!) who work within a number of local theatre companies.
Not only will you be able to try your hand at this acting lark, you’ll challenge yourself and laugh at yourself and maybe by the end you’ll be inspired to sign up to one of the many am-dram groups in the area. Information about local groups will be available on the day.
Treading the Boards, July 12, 2pm–4.30pm – Marquee 1, The Parade.
Free admission – Bookings will be accepted on a ‘first come, first served basis’. To register your place phone Rob Phillips on 07773 433256.
Workshop leaders are (pictured) from left: Rich Tye, Rob Phillips & Kelly Williams.
