2:30 pm

The Fellowship Hall in South Parade will host a children`s concert for the Festival at 2.30pm on Saturday July 12.

Engelbert Humperdinck`s fairytale opera Hansel & Gretel will be brought to life by the Blenheim Wind Quintet, with narration.

In a setting specially written for children by the group`s flautist Helen Mills, all the well known tunes are featured.

Actress Sheila Knapman from Wylde Green will narrate the classic story of good overcoming evil. And her husband Paul, a founder member 25 years ago of the Blenheim Quintet, will play clarinet. Entrance is free, and the performance lasts just over half an hour, ideal for children of all ages!
